神とは

God is no partial benefactor. He gives the fruit from every tree according to the seed. If you had planted the seed of a sour variety of mango, then why lament that the fruit that you got is not sweet? Do good and aspire to get the fruit of goodness - that is pardonable. At least, it is not as bad as doing evil deeds and blaming God for its consequences.

バクティ（帰依）の掟

Every aspirant who seeks the Eternal through the path of Bhakthi (devotion) should strive to acquire these characteristics: He must (1) keep away from the turmoils, the cruelties, the falsehoods of this world; (2) practise truth, righteousness, love and peace; (3) discard as worthless both praise and blame, appreciation and derision, prosperity and adversity; (4) keep steady faith in his own Innate Reality; and (5) dedicate himself to spiritual uplift.

パラマートマ（神）

Paramatma (God) cannot be known without faith and steadfastness. Only through Prema (love) comes Shraddha (faith); through Shraddha comes Jnana (wisdom); through Jnana comes Parabhakthi (highest form of devotion); through Parabhakthi, Paramatma is attained.

神の愛

God can be realised only through love. God will not reside in a heart devoid of love, which is like a desert. Other paths develop conceit, separating man from man and man from beast. They contract and do not reach out, shrinking your awareness of the Divine. Love is expansion, and expansion is divine life. Sow love it will blossom as compassion and tolerance. It will yield the fruit of peace. God is reflected in the medium of Nature; in everything His image can be perceived.

神とダルマ（正義）

God is the embodiment of Dharma (righteousness). His grace is won by Dharma. He is ever fostering Dharma. He is Dharma Itself. The Vedas, Shastras (scriptures) and Puranas (mythology) all proclaim aloud the glory of Dharma. The stream of Dharmic activity should never run dry. When its cool waters cease to flow, disaster is certain.

思いと現れ

We become what we contemplate on. When we fix our thoughts all the time on the evil that others do, our mind gets polluted by evil. When, on the contrary, we fix our mind on the virtues and well-being of others, our mind is cleansed of wrong and entertains only good thoughts. No evil thought can penetrate the mind of a person wholly given to love and compassion. Thus, our thoughts shape our nature.

バクタ（帰依者）とブラフマン（神）

When the individual name and form imposed by the Bhaktha (devotee) on God are transformed in to the Attributeless and the Formless, it is referred to as Brahman. When the same Brahman appears with attributes and forms, It is referred to as Rama, Krishna, Vishnu or Shiva. When a devotee attains the ecstasy of Mystic Union with the Lord, all distinctions between him and the Lord disappear.

You can call Me Premaswarupa (the embodiment of Love). Prema is the wealth I have and which I spread among all. I have no other riches. The Grace of the Lord is always flowing like the electric current through the wire. Fix a bulb and the current will illumine your house. The bulb is the Sadhana (spiritual practice) you perform, the home is your heart. Come to Me gladly; dive into the sea and discover its depth. There is no use playing in the shallow waters and lamenting that the sea has no pearls. Dive deep and you will secure your heart's desire.

教育

Education is the means of unfolding the moral and spiritual potentialities of man. Education reveals to man what is right and what is wrong. Education today is concerned with imparting worldly knowledge, with no place for ethics or spirituality. All along education has remained an exercise in acquiring bookish knowledge. What is needed today is practical knowledge. Every student should acquire a good character, moral values, and develop a spiritual bent of mind. These three constitute true learning.

Sanathana Dharma which teaches the Truth of all religions and tolerance of all religions is the Dharma of all mankind. 心と感覚と欲望

The desires that cling to the mind are the blemishes that tarnish man's inner consciousness. Control the senses, do not yield to their insistent demands for satisfaction. When a corpse is placed on a pyre, and when the pyre is lit, both the corpse and the pyre are reduced to ashes. So too, when the senses are negated, the mind too disappears. When the mind disappears, delusion dies and liberation is achieved.

Women are the makers of the home, the nation and the world. They are the mothers who shape the generation to come. 人間の人生

Man is born out of desires and lives to fulfil his desires. His life is based on desires and thoughts which control his actions. Hence, man's destiny is determined by his thoughts. To act according to the dictates of the senses is the code of animals. What we should have is Divine Consciousness. The Divine Incarnation comes to warn, to guide, to awaken, to lay down the path and shed the light of love on it. But man has to listen, learn and obey with hope and faith.

アヴァター（神の化身）の目的

The Avatar (Divine Incarnation) has come soley for saving mankind in response to the yearnings of noble people. He is aware of the past, present and future of all. He has come to lead and liberate. He comes when a large number of good men are afflicted with fear of the survival of goodness. The Lord incarnates to feed their drooping spirits and revive faith and courage in their hearts.

神とアヴァター

The real nature of Avatars (Divine Incarnations) is one of unalloyed bliss. His heart overflows with limitless and boundless love when He beholds His devotees. There can be no change in His attitude and affection. But, the ignorant attribute the changes they imagine or the differences they see to God out of their petty-mindedness. When we are happy, we praise God, and in suffering we condemn Him. God, as a guardian has come to warn and wean people away from harmful habits. If necessary, He will not hesitate to resort to infliction of pain as a curative and corrective treatment.

神の恵みを勝ち取る

You ignore the divinity you have as the core of your being; at the same time, you seek it in others. This is the tragedy. You insult yourself by feeling helpless, weak and inferior. Cowardice and self-condemnation are not your qualities, you, who are a spark of the Divine flame. Once the ego is suppressed, that very moment two consequences follow: Freedom from grief and Freedom from joy. To achieve this great consummation, you must take one step after another. Good deeds like Pooja (worship), Dhyana (meditation) and the observance of vows etc. are steps on the way; good thoughts like prayer for greater discrimination, more chance to help others - also help. Slowly, steadily, cleanse the mind; sharpen the intellect; purify the senses and win His Grace.

ウパニシャッド

The Vedas deal with rituals and worship, which imply a dualism between the worshipper and the object worshipped. Vedanta spells out the principle of Adwaitha (non-duality). It is interpreted in different ways, but the real basis of the Adwaithik principle is Ekaatma Bhaava, the feeling that there is only one Atma pervading everywhere and none else. "Adhwaita Darshanam Jnanam" (Wisdom lies in the perception of oneness). The Upanishads preach this oneness, based on the concept of unity in diversity.

Men who are devoted to Me are full of love. They always stand by Dharma or righteousness. They speak the truth. Their hearts melt with mercy. They are devoid of wrong conduct. They avoid sin. They will renounce everything gladly. They act in moderation. They are always engaged in doing good to others. They are not selfish. They are worried by no doubts. They do not lend their ears to flattery.

神の恵み

If you earn the Grace of the Lord, even the decrees of destiny can be overcome. There are certain drugs that come with expiry dates, beyond which the drug loses its efficacy. The drug may still be sealed in the bottle but it will no longer be effective after that date. Similarly, the Lord's Grace can make decrees of destiny inoperable. Just as you do not feel the severe pain in your body when the doctor administers an injection of morphine, the Grace of God allows you to endure difficulties without having to undergo the suffering.

後悔しないために

How sad it is that human life, precious as a priceless diamond, has been treated as a worn out, worthless coin! There is no use repenting after having wasted one's time without meditating on God, or practising any other Sadhana (spiritual exercise) to realise Him. What is the use of digging a well for water when the house is already on fire? To begin contemplation on God during the end of one's life is like beginning to dig the well when the fire is already raging on.

身体機能

The Lord has endowed man with the body and so, every limb and organ is worthy of reverent attention. The body must be sanctified by the contemplation of His Glory. The ear must exult when it gets the opportunity to hear the wonderful story of His Life. The tongue must exult when it can praise Him. Or else, the tongue of man is as ineffective as that of frogs which croak day and night, sitting on the marshy bank. The human body has been given to you for a grand purpose - realising the Lord within. Learn how to use the faculties of the body, the senses, the intellect and the mind for achieving the goal and march on.

ジーヴァンムクタ（自己認識した人）とバクタ（帰依者）

There is no difference between a Jivanmuktha (self-realised person) and a Bhakta (devotee), for they are both beyond Ahamkara (ego). The hearts of such persons will be full of compassion and the urge to do good to the world. Such a Bhakta will have no desires, for desires are the products of feelings of 'I' and 'mine'. Only after they are uprooted does a person become a Bhakta.

バジャン

What is required is the transformation of the heart. All bad thoughts and feelings should be expelled from the heart. We should whole-heartedly participate in Bhajans. It should not be a mechanical ritual. Once your heart is filled with sacred thoughts and feelings, they will be reflected in your Bhajan-singing. Through your singing, you should give joy to all the participants.

自然から学ぶこと

Nature is a preacher; life is a teacher. Knowledge is not to be derived from books alone. Nature is to be accepted as a better instructor. By its forbearance, unselfish bounty, patience and serenity, Nature is continually proclaiming its inherent and true role of the preacher of spiritual truths. Consider, for instance, a tree. It offers shade and distributes fruits to whoever approaches it. It bears no feelings of hatred or vengeance even towards those who cause injury to it. It seeks no reward from those who benefit from it. Everyone should learn this lesson in selfless service from the tree.

理解する

The taste of the vast ocean can be found, complete and undiminished, in every drop of its waters. Though we consider the drop and the ocean as separate entities, the nature and taste of both is identical. Similarly, the Sarvaantaryaami Paramaatama (Omnipresent Divinity) and the gross form and the name which He assumes and through whom He is worshipped and realised are not separate entities; they are identical.

若者と精神性

Youngsters take great pains to acquire degrees for securing good jobs. But they hardly take any trouble to develop their character and personality. Good conduct and character are the most essential requisites for a man. They are the basis for spiritual life. If the spiritual aspect is neglected, man becomes an artificial, mechanical being with no genuine human quality in him. Many people today do not understand what is meant by spirituality. It is the knowledge of Divinity, which is man's true nature. Spirituality reveals the basic principle that is immanent in everything and sustains the entire Cosmos.

プレマ（愛）を育む法

How is Prema (love) to be cultivated? It can be done through two methods: (1) Consider the faults of others, however big, to be insignificant and negligible. Consider your own faults, however insignificant, to be big, and feel repentant. (2) Whatever you do with yourself or with others, do it remembering that God is Omnipresent. He sees, hears and knows everything.

痛みからの解放

When an individual seeks fulfillment outside himself, he fails; if he seeks it within himself, he is successful in obtaining it. The divine principle within us is always accessible and always responsive. Pain is felt only as long as attachment or aversion to outer forms remains. Ultimate relief from pain can come only by the effacement of the ego, by the elimination of that which reacts to one thing as pain and to another as pleasure, and whose memory and conditioning sustains the recognition of the dualities of joy and grief.

パラマートマ（神）

Paramatma (God) alone is Real. Paramatma is Truth and Love. Meditate on Him as Truth and as Love. Be always in Satsang, the company of His devotees. Through this Satsang, Viveka (discrimination) and Vairagya (detachment) will be implanted and increased. These in turn will strengthen the spirit and endow you with inner peace. Your mind will then merge in Paramatma.

はっきり理解すべきこと

Human beings with different names and forms are just like waves on the ocean of Sath-Chith-Ananda; they are also the same Sath-Chith-Ananda. The essence is the same in all names and forms. The realization of this truth is spirituality. This is the message of the Upanishads. It does not matter if you cannot understand every word of the Upanishads. It is enough if you realize the truth that you are embodiments of the Divine.
